Diovan is a blood pressure medication manufactured by Novartis. It is one of the most popular medications in the United States with over 1 billion dollars in sales annually. Diovan and Diovan HCT are very effective at lowering blood pressure and sales have been increasing despite the availability of a generic equivalent to Cozaar and Hyzaar.
There is no generic available and can be quite expensive but Novartis has taken steps to make the medication more affordable. There is a patient savings card available at the Diovan.com website but the details of the plan are difficult to find.

The consumer will pay only $25 for a 90-, 60-, or 30-tablet supply of Diovan. The pharmacy will submit the claim to the patient’s primary insurance and the submit the balance to the Diovan savings card which is processed through Therapy First. The patient is responsible for the first
$25 and the card pays up to the next $145.

This offer is valid for those with private insurance. Not valid under Medicare, Medicaid or any other federal or state program, for residents of MA or cash-paying patients, or where product is not covered by patient’s primary insurance.
